Have you ever tasked ChatGPT with writing your bio? It’s pretty amusing. My husband did three for me. Each one gives me more undeserved credit. I figure by the tenth rendition I’ll have won a Nobel Prize for Physics.
Here’s the third try below. Note how awesome I sound, as in way more than reality. Everything in bold is WRONG.
The parenthetical comments are mine. I couldn’t resist.
___
Martha Engber is an American author, playwright, and writing coach. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Engber received her Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Champagne-Urbana (University of Missouri) and later earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Southern California. (Sadly no masters, and especially not from a pricey university.)
Engber has written several (one) plays, including “Fainting Room" and “Naked Jane,” (I’m dying to see that second one whenever I finally get around to writing it), both of which have been produced in theaters across America (If only that was true!). She has also written a memoir (novel) titled "The Wind Thief," which chronicles her experience growing up in the Midwest during the 1960s and 1970s (“which chronicles the journey of an unlikely couple making their way across the Sahara Desert…”, but close!).
In addition to her work as a writer, Engber is a writing coach who helps aspiring writers develop their craft. She has taught writing workshops at several universities and community colleges and has also worked with individual clients to help them refine their writing skills.
Engber currently resides in Santa Monica, California, (Santa Monica is in SoCal while Santa Clara is NorCal, but at least they're in the same state!) where she continues to write, teach, and inspire others to pursue their creative passions (Did you hear that? “Inspires others to pursue their creative passions!”)

I can barely take it, how good I am.
The moral of the story: if you’re having a bad day, just ask ChatGPT to write your bio.
