I’m off to the annual conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, otherwise lovingly known as AWP, in Kansas City, MO.
While there will be thousands of writers and a host of literary celebs leading various sessions, I’m totally looking forward to meeting up with my fellow Vine Leaves Press authors: Scott Gould, Alexis Paige, Joe Lezza, Melanie Brooks, Gina Troisi, Steve Zettler, Jeff Billington, Sara Hosey, Cordelia Biddle.
And for what it’s worth, the schedule of AWP this year really reflects the blooming of appreciation for all kinds of viewpoints; from minority voices, those with neurodiversities, people from underrepresented populations and loads from artists from other cultures.
Right on!
What else should I do while I’m in Kansas City?
